Oakland County Fair
The Oakland County Fair runs its full 10-day season from July 10 through July 19 at Springfield Oaks County Park in Davisburg — and it's the biggest single event on the calendar right now. Expect Big Rock Amusement carnival rides, 4-H livestock exhibits, grandstand events including monster truck shows and demolition derbies, the Miracle of Birth Barn, food vendors, and a "Walking with Giants" dinosaur encounter for the kids.
Grandstand events carry an additional charge ($15 adults, $7 kids 6–14, free for 5 and under). Gates close at 10 PM on weekdays and 11 PM on Friday and Saturday nights. This is a full-day family outing — bring sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a serious appetite for fair food.

A Taste of Brighton
A Taste of Brighton is one of Livingston County's most anticipated summer events — a two-day street festival that closes Main Street and fills downtown with local restaurant pop-ups, food trucks, artisan vendors, live music, and family activities. This year's edition features games, face painting, a giant slide, bouncers, art demonstrations, and sidewalk shopping across dozens of local retailers.

Alley Fest 2026
Alley Fest is pure Flint character. Held in Buckham Alley off Saginaw Street in downtown Flint, this annual celebration brings 16 live musical acts (performing every 30 minutes), 50+ vendors, food trucks, a beer tent, and an all-day community vibe that's been growing every year. Organized by Friends of the Alley (FOTA), it's one of the best examples of the grassroots energy driving Flint's ongoing revitalization.

"Weird Al" Yankovic: Bigger & Weirder Tour
The man who turned parody into an art form brings his Bigger & Weirder 2026 Tour to The Dow Event Center in Saginaw on opening night. "Weird Al" Yankovic's live shows are legendary for their energy, costumes, and sheer absurdity — this is not a passive listening event. Expect costume changes, video projections, and a set list spanning four decades of comedic genius. If you've never seen him live, you're overdue.

46th Annual Concerts in the Park
Now in its 46th year, Clarkston's Concerts in the Park series remains one of Oakland County's signature summer traditions. Performances happen at Depot Park in downtown Clarkston, with local talent opening at 6:00 PM followed by a headliner from 7:00–9:00 PM.
Bring a blanket or lawn chairs and make an evening of it — Clarkston's walkable downtown has excellent restaurants within steps of the park. This is the kind of free, community-rooted event that makes Oakland County small-town living so appealing.

Friday Night Live: All American 250th Celebration
The 28th Annual Friday Night Live concert series kicks off its 2026 season with a patriotic bang. The opening night celebrates America's 250th Anniversary and features the Saginaw Eddy Concert Band plus headliner SHAKEDOWN: The Bob Seger Experience, fronted by Saginaw's own Sheriff William Federspiel. This is classic Michigan rock tribute in the heart of downtown Saginaw — exactly the kind of event that brings a city together.

Thursday nights in Fenton mean live music in Rackham Park. The Summer Concert Series runs every Thursday through mid-September, presented by Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation. Grab takeout from one of the downtown restaurants, spread out a blanket, and enjoy a relaxed evening of live music right in the heart of the community.
The July 9 show features Sailing with the Yacht Club, and July 16 is a Family Night with Your Generation. Pair it with the Fenton Farmers Market (also on Thursdays) for the perfect summer evening out.

Pine Knob Music Theatre
Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston is one of Michigan's most iconic outdoor amphitheatres, and this week delivers three major shows:
